NAVIGON 8410: a new age of navigation

London, 14 July 2009. NAVIGON is proud to announce the NAVIGON 8410, the most sleek and technologically innovative new addition to the NAVIGON series.



The new NAVIGON 8410 includes an array of brand new and exciting functions such as a 5 inch mineral glass display, Voice Interaction Pro and a digital TV module. This new exciting model builds on all the fantastic features of the NAVIGON 8310, whilst raising the bar in design and technology. These advancements in innovation have already been rewarded with the NAVIGON 8410 receiving an 'honourable mention' from the prestigious Red Dot Design Awards 2009 - even before its launch date!

Unique touch sensitive mineral glass display
The minimalist and sleek design of the NAVIGON 8410, compliments its top of the range operating system. A state of the art, flat, mineral glass 5 inch screen includes a unique touch-sensitive display that responds to the slightest touch, encased in a beautiful brushed steel finish. "This reacts far more sensitively to touch than other displays, it's a brand new innovation for us in the design of our premium navigation devices" explains Jörn Watzke Vice-President of Product Line Management at NAVIGON.



Voice Interaction Pro
The NAVIGON 8410 features a brand new Voice Interaction Pro function, enabling even more functions to be voice-controlled than with the previous Professional Voice Command system used in the 8310. Additional features include recognition of colloquial speech and the ability to retrieve contact names from your personally saved list.



Digital TV Module
To NAVIGON premium means entertainment on demand, and as a result a further highlight of the new NAVIGON 8410 is its media player. The NAVIGON 8410 can be equipped with a digital TV module for DVB-T reception which transforms the device into a mobile television. This digital TV module fits the visual design of the NAVIGON 8410 perfectly and is a must-have for high-quality vehicle interiors.
